City-scale facade solar potential through AIoT, GIS and meteorology synergy
- Abstract
Facades offer far more surface than roofs in dense cities, yet most urban solar assessments stop at the rooftop. This talk combines street-view facade parsing, 3D building models and hourly meteorology to estimate facade PV potential building by building, and shows how shading from neighbouring buildings changes the result compared with rooftop-only estimates.
